Install the plugins

Install MCP Adapter (official WordPress plugin) and then Enable Abilities for MCP from WordPress.org. Both install in seconds from the admin.

Choose your auth method

The panel offers two options: Bearer Token (dedicated API key, SHA-256) or WordPress Application Password. Configure which abilities you want to expose.

Configure your MCP client

The panel generates the config block ready to paste into Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI and more. The connection uses npx mcp-remote as the bridge — no prior install needed.
